PM Vishwakarma Eligibility 2025

The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana (PM Vishwakarma) aims to uplift traditional artisans and craftsmen by providing financial and skill-based support. The scheme focuses on individuals engaged in family-based traditional occupations within the unorganized sector. Below are the eligibility criteria and the occupations covered under the scheme:

To qualify, the applicant must belong to one of the following 18 traditional crafts and trades:

  2. Boat Maker
  3. Armor Maker
  4. Barber
  5. Lohar (Blacksmith)
  6. Hammer and Tool Kit Maker
  7. Locksmith
  8. Goldsmith
  9. Potter
  10. Fishing Net Maker
  11. Sculptor/Stone Carver/Stone Breaker
  12. Cobblers/Shoemakers/Footwear Artisans
  13. Mason
  14. Basket Maker/Basket Weaver/Mat Maker/Coir Weaver/Broom Maker
  15. Doll and Toy Maker (Traditional)
  16. Garland Maker
  17. Washerman
  18. Tailor

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Age Requirement:
    • The applicant must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.
  2. Active Engagement in the Trade:
    • The applicant must be actively involved in one of the eligible trades at the time of registration.
  3. Loan History:
    • The applicant should not have availed of loans under similar credit-based schemes from either the Central or State Government in the last 5 years.
  4. Family Member Limit:
    • Only one member per family can register and benefit under the scheme.
  5. Exclusion of Government Employees:
    • Individuals working in government services and their family members are not eligible.
