PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2025

The PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a new scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Vishwakarma Jayanti and it was launched on 17th September 2023. Prime Minister Modi announced this scheme on 15th August 2023. It’s main goal is to help the traditional artisans and craftsmen of India to improve their work with a financial support.

Through this scheme, these artisans and craftsmens will be officially recognized as ‘Vishwakarma’ and they will get various benefits and support from PM Vishwakarma scheme and futures schemes. They will also receive training to improve their skills and learn to use modern tools under the scheme. also they will get stipend during the training period. Additionally, they will be able to loans without needing to provide any security or collateral and the government will also pay part of the interest on these loans.

Furthermore, This scheme will help them to work with latest technology and tools. The PM Vishwakarma Yojana is an important initiative by PM Modi to support traditional artisans and craftsmen of India in enhancing their livelihoods.

PM Vishwakarma Registration 2025

To register and apply online for the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana (pmvishwakarma.gov.in) scheme, follow these steps:

Step 1: Mobile and Aadhaar Verification

  • Visit the nearest CSC (Common Service Centre).
  • Complete mobile verification and Aadhaar eKYC (E-KYC) process.

Step 2: Artisan Registration Form

  • Fill out the Artisan Registration Form link provided below.

Step 3: PM Vishwakarma Certificate

  • Download your PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate once your registration is complete.

Step 4: Apply for Scheme Benefits

Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana has 18 types of artisans/craftsmen. These 18 Artisans are selected for this scheme for the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. Artisans or craftsmen work as unorganized sector and running their businesses independently, To get a proper training and stipend and one time financial assistant for tools. Artisans must apply for the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, To be eligible for registration under this scheme, you must be engaged in one of the following 18 family-based traditional occupations.

Carpenter, Boat Maker, Armor Maker, Barbers, Lohar (Blacksmith), Hammer and Tool Kit Maker, Locksmith, Goldsmith, Potter, Fishing Net Maker, Sculptor/Stone Carver/Stone Breaker, Cobblers/Shoemakers/Footwear Artisans, Masons, Basket Makers/Basket Weavers/Mat Makers/Coir Weavers/Broom Makers, Doll and Toy Makers (Traditional), Garland Makers, Washermen, Tailor

Eligibility Criteria of the Vishwakarma Scheme

  1. You must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.
  2. The beneficiary should be actively involved in the relevant trade at the time of registration. They should not have taken any loan under similar credit-based schemes from the Central Government or State Government scheme in the last 5 years.
  3. Registration can be done by only one member of the family.
  4. Individuals working in government services and their family members are not eligible under this scheme.

PM Vishwakarma Benefits

The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana offers several benefits to its beneficiaries. Let’s discuss them one by one below.

  1. Recognition: Beneficiaries receive recognition as Vishwakarma also a certificate and ID card will be provided. This allows you to showcase your skills and gain employment opportunities.
  2. Skills Training: Basic training for 5-7 days (40 hours) will be provided with the option for advanced training of 15 days (120 hours). and also during the training period, participants will also receive Rs500 per day as support.
  3. Toolkit Grant: After training you’ll receive Rs15,000 to purchase the necessary tools and equipment to start your work.
  4. Loan Assistance: You’ll receive a collateral-free enterprise development loan of 1 lakh rupees which which you must repay within 18 months. When you repay the EMIs on time, You will get to access to a second loan of 2 lakh rupees with a repayment period of 30 months. These loans will carry a concessional interest rate of 5% with credit covering guarantee fees by the govt.
  5. Incentive for Digital Transactions: Beneficiaries are encouraged received payments digitally for which 1 rupee will be provided per transaction (up to 100 transactions) every month.
  6. Marketing Assistance: The scheme supports in National Marketing Committee (NCM) Quality Certification, Branding & Promotion, E-commerce linkage, Trade Fairs advertising and other marketing activities to help you promote your products and services effectively.

Beneficiaries of PM Vishwakarma can check their application status, Loan Status and payment status online also through the CSC centers. Beneficiary need to call the Helpline number to know the status of the amount of the stipend. Candidates can check the Tool Incentive and Loan Payment status online. Receive 500 Rupees Per Day under Vishwakarma Scheme

Basic training for 5-7 days (40 hours) will be provided on the selected trade of the artisan in their preferred location. Artisans can also enroll in advanced training for 15 days (120 hours), and during this training participants will receive Rs.500 per day as a support. The location and timing for training will be informed later by the training institute.

Vishwakarma Yojana Loan Amount

You will get a security-free/collateral-free enterprise development loan of Rupees 1 lakh, which is repayable within 18 months. Timely repayment allows you to access a second loan of rupees 2 lakh, with a repayment period of 30 months. These loans will carry a concessional interest rate of 5% with the government covering credit guarantee fees.

Vishwakarma Yojana ToolKit Incentive

After the Basic or advanced training you will receive Rs.15,000 to purchase the necessary tools and equipment to start your work. This is a non-repayable one time grant for purchasing tools for your trades.

What are the eligibility criteria for this Scheme?

Eligible beneficiaries must be artisans or craftsmen working in one of the mentioned trades on a self-employed basis in the unorganized sector. You must be at least 18 years old, actively engaged in the trade and not have availed any loans under similar schemes in the past 5 years. Only one member per family can register for the scheme and government employees and their families are not eligible.
